Countdown to Summer Crochet Scavenger Hunt

It’s mid-May, which means the temperatures are rising, the kids are getting tired of waking up early and school has officially entered their countdown to summer spirit days. But who said the kids get to have all the fun? How about we have our very own crochet countdown to summer? 

Let me tell you all about it and how you can join!

What is a Crochet Scavenger Hunt?

When I was a kid, scavenger hunts were a game we played often. Usually, someone would make a list of things you had to go find, and then off you went running around the house or yard to find all of the things. Other times, scavenger hunts held clues, each one leading you to the item you have to find, and with it, you’d find a new clue.

But how do we do a crochet version? Since you don’t live at my house, or in the same town, we’re going to play a digital crochet scavenger hunt. Instead of clues that make you hunt around, I will give you links to a few different pages on my site each day of the hunt. On one of them will be your prize for the day, the others won’t have a prize, but you can also use that opportunity to see some posts you may not have seen before. Then, look for your email each day of the Countdown to Summer event for the next prize.

How the Countdown to Summer Event Works

The Countdown to Summer Event will run from May 26 – June 20, the first day of summer. 

1. Sign up for the event emails.
2. You will receive an email containing 3 links each day of the event. Click on one of the links, and look for the Countdown to Summer Sun graphic on that page. If you don’t find it on the page, revisit your email and select another link.
3. When you find the graphic, click on it to receive that day’s prize. Each day is a different prize, so be sure to watch your email. 

I know life gets busy, especially this time of year, so don’t worry if you miss a few days. This is supposed to be a fun event and nothing stressful.

How to Join the Countdown to Summer Event

Because daily emails are not everyone’s favorite thing, I want to ensure that only those who want to play along are going to get them.

Are There Any Prizes for Playing? 

Everyone who joins the Countdown to Summer event will be entered to win the Grand Prize – a $25 Amazon Gift Card. After the event ends, I will randomly select one Grand Prize Winner from all of the eligible participants. The winner will be contacted via email and given 48-hours to respond and claim their prize, or I will select a new winner from the remaining entries. Remember, you must sign-up for the event in order to be eligible.
