Introducing The Monogram Crochet Blanket Square

For this year’s crochet-along, the theme was for each designer to design a blanket square using the prompt “home for the holidays”.

When I think of what ‘home for the holidays’ looks like to me, the first thing that came to mind was my family. My husband and our four beautiful blessings. This holiday season (and the previous nine months) will be filled with time together, enjoying just the six of us. So I wanted to place my stamp on this blanket with an M to represent our last name, Morris.

The yarn for this CAL was generously provided by WeCrochet. We used Mighty Stitch by Knit Picks in Black, Chocolate, Love Letter, Oyster, Silver, Spruce, and White.

It’s always fun to try out new yarns and Mighty Stitch is one I haven’t used before. It’s a light, worsted weight yarn that is really soft and cozy. Perfect for cold winter nights!

I used Oyster and Love Letter in half double crochet stitches for my square. There are a few bobble stitches to add some fun texture and to frame the letter.

Your blanket is going to be absolutely cozy and one you will love to snuggle under.

You can buy the ad-free, premium PDF of this pattern on Etsy and Ravelry. If you want to purchase the bundle of all 30 blanket square patterns, you can get that here.
