What activities do you like to do with your family in the fall? Every year, my husband and I gather up the kids and head to the pumpkin patch. We love the hayride as much as the kids and enjoy helping them find their perfect pumpkin. This year I’m so excited to wear my new favorite accessory! This rustic crochet cowl pattern is going to accompany me to all of my fall events – the pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, Thanksgiving – everything!

Introducing the Rustic Candy Corn Cowl
In case it isn’t obvious by the name, this crochet cowl pattern is inspired by the famous candy. Except that this crochet cowl is going to fit your fall wardrobe regardless of whether you like to eat the candy.
When Marie from Underground Crafter asked if I wanted to be a guest on her blog, first, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Then, while dreaming up designs, something to help celebate fall jumped into my mind. And when I saw that gorgeous tweed
A big thank you to Marie Segares for featuring one of my designs and WeCrochet for providing this gorgeous City Tweed DK yarn. Aren’t they perfectly muted colors for fall? And the tweed adds that rustic touch that softens the look even more and gives off so many fall vibes.
Don’t want to go with candy corn colors? There are beautiful blues and greys for winter or make your own ombre look! Of course, a single-color cowl would be just as gorgeous.
When making this cowl, there are some fun crochet bobble stitches in the shape of candy corn. They add texture and amp up the cozy vibe, while the lightweight yarn gives it a good bit of drape so that it isn’t too stiff around your neck.
The free written instructions are featured on the Underground Crafter blog. If you prefer working off of charts or want a printable version, you can buy the ad-free, PDF of this pattern on Etsy, Ravelry, and LoveCrafts.
