Hey there, crochet friends! I’m so excited to introduce the latest addition to the Gentle Embrace collection – the Gentle Embrace Ear Warmer! A cozy ear warmer is the perfect companion to the Gentle Embrace Infinity Scarf, keeping your ears warm while adding a touch of texture and style to your cold weather accessories. With its soft stitches and beautiful texture created by the Front Post Treble Crochet (FPtr) stitch, this ear warmer is as fun to make as it is to wear. Plus, it comes in five sizes – from infant to adult large – so you can make one for everyone in the family! Ready to dive in? Let’s get started!

Introducing the Gentle Embrace Crochet Ear Warmer
The Gentle Embrace Ear Warmer came naturally after designing the matching infinity scarf, and the texture comes from the preemie blanket. I wanted to create a quick, stylish accessory that pairs perfectly with the scarf, so that you can dial up the style all season long. The ear warmer showcases the same beautiful Front Post Treble Crochet (FPtr) stitch, making it a great addition to your fall and winter wardrobe or a thoughtful handmade gift set!
As with the scarf, I used Lion Brand Basic Stitch, which is quickly growing to be one of my new favorite yarns. It is very soft and has anti-pilling features so we’ll see how it holds up as we head into fall and winter seasons.
I used three colors, but you can use any combination of colors including a new one for each round! The texture does all the work and is shown off differently based on the number of colors used. Crochet ear warmers make a great stash-busting project too!

Pattern Notes:
- US Terms (US to UK terminology conversion)
- Ear warmer is worked in the round
- Turn after each round
- Multiples of 6 + 2 (or 6 + 4 if doing foundation chain)
- Ch 1 at the beginning of a round does not count as a stitch
- Ch 2 at the beginning of a round counts as a stitch
- FPtr is worked around the dc two rows below
- Carry the yarn up the seam on the wrong side of your work to eliminate extra work weaving in ends
- This ear warmer can also be worked flat, in rows. Cut the yarn at the end of each row, then seam both ends together.
- An alternative to the ch 2 at the beginning of a round, you could substitute a Stacked Double Crochet stitch
