Introducing the Cozy Triangles Crochet Blanket Strip

After designing the Cozy Ridges blanket strip for the Harmony Blanket CAL last year, I knew I wanted to create a design that had some of that same lovely texture but also could be paired together nicely. As you get more confident in your skills. many crocheters love to piece together their own creations using patterns or stitches from different projects.

For this textured blanket strip, I used beginner-friendly stitches with some creative stitch placement to make these textured triangles that span the width of the section. Each row has either a mix of double and treble crochet stitches, or single crochets.

Helpful Tips for Crocheting This Blanket

I touch on this in the video tutorial below, but you may want to use stitch markers. They are not 100% necessary, however, you might find them useful on the single crochet rows to mark the middle of the triangles or the beginning of the 12-stitch repeats.

If you’re not following along with the CAL, or you want to create your own blanket, you can make your section as long as you want by ensuring the first row is a multiple of 12 stitches. Then, you will need to repeat all of the rows until you get your desired length.
