Introducing this Extra Cozy Crochet Christmas Blanket

If you’ve been around the blog for a while, you know how much I love using blanket yarn to make crochet blankets. It all started with the Lisa Blanket, which is my go-to baby shower gift you can make in a weekend. The Christmas Lane blanket is another fast make – the kid size took me about 4-5 hours, including weaving in the ends.

Another reason why this blanket is such a fast project is the fact that it uses the crochet linen stitch, aka moss stitch, which is very beginner-friendly and easy to whip through on the super chunky yarn. My testers agree that it is a mindless stitch combination that makes it easy for you to pick up and put down with ease.

While this blanket is Christmas-themed, it works well with many color choices. The kid’s size uses one skein of each color, so you can also try your gift recipient’s favorite colors. You could even make it with one single color as the woven texture will show off your yarn beautifully.

Ready to get started? The written instructions are down below, or you can buy the ad-free, PDF of this pattern in my Etsy shop, Ravelry store, and LoveCrafts. The premium PDF also includes a color block chart and details for customizing the size of your blanket.

Question on the throw… the row numbers for changing colors aren’t matching the row numbers … is there a correction somewhere? Thanks!
