The temperatures have been teasing us lately and spring flowers have been pushing up for the last several weeks. And while I’m almost ready for warmer days, spring baseball season is coming and here in Indiana there are some chilly practices and games ahead and I’m going to be bundled up in my new favorite infinity scarf.

If you need something to keep you warm and cozy during those in-between weather days, this crochet infinity scarf pattern is going to be your go-to project for the weekend. And if you like to customize patterns to your liking, this one is perfect because you can make it as wide or narrow as you like. You can even make a regular scarf with fringe or tassels.

Introducing the Textured Crochet Infinity Scarf

For the past few years, I’ve fallen in love with the beautiful texture made by mixing puff and half double crochet stitches. It’s versatile enough to make a variety of accessories such as this 4-way ear warmer, or a beautiful prayer shawl, a stylish cowl, and more.

In my version, I used less than two skeins of charcoal grey Caron Simply Soft yarn, which is super soft next to your skin and comes in so many colors. The hardest part is picking out colors!

Let’s talk about the stitches. There are only half double crochet and puff stitches which makes this pattern great for the adventurous beginner or intermediate crocheter. And to accentuate the texture even more, front and back loop only stitches really make those puff stitches pop.

You can continue reading and follow along with the written instructions below. If you prefer a printable version that also includes a pattern chart and puff stitch tutorial to make it easy for you to follow along, you can buy the ad-free, PDF of this pattern on Etsy, on Ravelry, or LoveCrafts.
