Welcome to section 6 of the Tranquility Blanket Crochet-Along, hosted by Made by Gootie and The Loophole Fox! I’m excited to introduce the Gentle Embrace Blanket Strip, my contribution to this beautiful collaborative blanket. Inspired by the cozy and warm texture of my Gentle Embrace collection (see the coordinating hat, ear warmer, infinity scarf, and preemie blanket), this crochet blanket pattern adds a touch of softness and elegance to the overall design. Whether you’ve been crocheting along or are just joining in, I hope you enjoy this section as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Introducing the Gentle Embrace Blanket Strip, Section 6 of the Tranquility Blanket Crochet Along

The Gentle Embrace Blanket Strip carries forward the signature warmth and texture of my Gentle Embrace series. To make your section, you will use a mix of single crochets (sc), double crochets (dc), and front post treble crochet (FPtr) stitches. The post stitches are worked two rows below to bring depth and a beautiful raised effect to the blanket.

You can use any yarn weight with this section, but in keeping with the common crochet blanket, I used worsted weight yarn, such as Big Twist Value, Lion Brand Pound of Love, Caron One Pound, or your favorite type. This is a great relaxing project to work on while enjoying the soft texture forming under your hook. The stitch pattern creates a rhythmic and meditative crochet experience that will add both texture and visual interest to your blanket.

Check out row 5, I pasted it below. Should the fptr be fptc. The summary of the stitches say it should be to fptc.
